Landing page capture

A plain definition, the context behind it, what Ads Lighthouse can and cannot observe, and the official sources.

Definition
A landing page capture is a record of what an ad's destination page contained when it was fetched.

Captures help reviewers see whether the page matched the ad and what it offered. Pages change over time and can vary by visitor, so a capture has its own time and context.

A capture taken later than the ad observation is a separate record and should be labeled that way.

How Ads Lighthouse observes it

Landing page captures are limited: Ads Lighthouse stores the text of eligible Google ad destination pages privately for later analysis, not screenshots, and captures are not yet browsable in the app. Screenshots and evidence packs are not available.
