Check

A plain definition, the context behind it, what Ads Lighthouse can and cannot observe, and the official sources.

Definition
In Ads Lighthouse, a check is one search for one keyword, in one location, on one device, on one search source.

A project's monthly volume is its keywords times locations times devices times sources, multiplied by the number of runs. Adding a city or a device multiplies the checks every run uses.

A check can find ads, find no ads, or fail. A completed check with no ads is a result; a failed or pending check is a gap, and the two should never share a zero.

How Ads Lighthouse observes it

Checks run on the schedule you choose or on demand, and each plan includes a monthly allowance of scheduled and on-demand checks. Browsing saved observations does not use checks.
