Scheduled and on-demand allowances

Plans include two monthly allowances: scheduled checks for automatic monitoring and on-demand checks for runs you start. Here is how they work.

  • Scheduled checks cover automatic monitoring on your project's schedule.
  • On-demand (realtime) checks cover Run a Check, single-keyword checks and your project's first collection.
  • Both allowances reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC. Unused checks do not carry over.

When an allowance runs out

New checks stop when the relevant allowance cannot cover the request. There are no automatic overage charges. Your saved observations stay available, and the other allowance keeps working.

  1. Open Plans & usage to see used and remaining checks for the current period.
  2. Reduce coverage (keywords, locations, devices or frequency), or
  3. Move to a plan with more capacity, or wait for the next monthly period.

Before you add keywords or change coverage, Ads Lighthouse checks that the new setup fits both a full month and what is left of the current period, and tells you if it does not.

  • What counts as a check

    One check is one keyword in one location, on one device, from one source. Learn how to estimate what your setup uses.

  • Upgrade or downgrade your plan

    The account owner switches plans in Plans & usage. The change applies right away and the difference is prorated on the next invoice.

  • Set a monitoring schedule

    Choose how often your keywords are checked automatically, from once a day to every 2 hours, or run checks only manually.
