Ads Transparency Center

A plain definition, the context behind it, what Ads Lighthouse can and cannot observe, and the official sources.

Definition
The Ads Transparency Center is Google's public, searchable library of ads from verified advertisers.

Google explains that you can search it by advertiser or website name and filter by date and location. It is useful for learning who is behind an unfamiliar domain.

It is a different context from an observed search result: it shows ads an advertiser has run, not what appeared for a particular search.

How Ads Lighthouse observes it

Ads Lighthouse is not a Google product and does not use the Ads Transparency Center. Its observations come from checks of the results page for your monitored searches.
