A keyword is a search that Ads Lighthouse runs for you, such as nike or nike running shoes. Each keyword is checked in every location, device and source your project monitors.
Good starting points
- Your brand name exactly as people type it, including common misspellings.
- Brand plus intent words, such as nike outlet, nike coupon or nike official site. Coupon and outlet searches often attract affiliates and resellers.
- Brand plus product lines, such as nike running shoes.
- Competitor comparison searches, such as nike vs adidas, if you want to see who advertises on them.
Add or remove keywords later
- Open Project settings from the sidebar.
- Go to the Keywords section and add keywords separated by commas or new lines. You can add up to 20 at once, with up to 200 characters each.
- Review the check forecast before saving. Adding keywords does not use checks until they run.
Each plan allows a number of monitored keywords. A keyword counts once per billing period for its term, country and language. Deleting it does not give that slot back in the same period, and adding the same keyword again reuses its history.
Keep in mind that the searches you monitor are not the keywords an advertiser bought. An ad shown for a search does not reveal the advertiser's targeting, match type or bid.
