Find who advertises to a domain

Look up an advertiser domain in Google's Ads Transparency Center: the advertisers Google lists, their verified names, countries and when their ads ran.

Updated

Open an advertiser and find the Advertiser identity card on its Overview. Select Look up advertiser identity to read the public record Google keeps in its Ads Transparency Center for ads that pointed to that domain. The result usually appears within a minute or two; reload the page to see it.

What the card shows

  • The advertiser with the most ads for the domain, with Verified by Google when Google verified its identity. A verified name is the name the advertiser verified with Google; an unverified one is only the account's display name.
  • The country Google says the advertiser is based in, its Transparency ID, how many of the domain's 40 most recent ads it ran, and the dates they were shown.
  • Other advertisers using the same domain. Agencies, resellers and affiliates can all send ads to one website, so every one is listed.
  • A link to open each advertiser in Google Ads Transparency Center, and when the lookup was made.

The verified name also appears under the domain on Paid results and on case pages, in the evidence pack, and in the Google Ads complaint package with the Transparency ID.

Cost, reuse and refresh

Each lookup uses 1 on-demand check from your plan, reserved before it starts. When none are left the lookup is refused and nothing runs. A result is kept and reused for 30 days; select Refresh to read the record again, which uses another check. If a lookup cannot start at all, the check is given back.

Not found is not the same as failed

No advertiser found means Google listed no ads pointing to the domain when it was looked up. The lookup could not be completed means the record could not be read; it says nothing about the domain. A failed refresh keeps the earlier result visible.

Automatic lookups

In Settings > Project > Monitoring plan, turn on Identify new advertisers automatically to look up each advertiser domain your checks find that has no identity on record yet. Each lookup uses 1 on-demand check, at most 20 per project per day (UTC), and only while on-demand checks remain. It is off by default, and a domain is looked up automatically only once.

Google's record links advertiser accounts to ads that pointed to a domain. It does not prove who placed a specific ad you saw in a check, or that any rule was broken.
